Save the Children supports smaller primary health clinics in key locations, but people with more serious illnesses must still walk a distance from 2 hours to 2 days to reach the main health facility in Kapoeta North County. To combat killer diseases such as tetanus, polio and measles, Save the Children EPI Community Outreach Officers load up their vehicles with portable cold chain equipment every day, to deliver immunizations to villages that cannot easily access the health centers.
